Psaltrio came about because one of our
customers, Jackie Williams fell in love with the
Bowed Psaltery. We would play together at our
studio in Tamarack so much that we would often
have requests to play other places. Three
playing Psalteries became "Psaltrio" . Thanks
for the name Jackie.
So far we have two Cd's, "The First Time" and
" 'Tis The Season". We also have companion
music books for the Cd's.
Due out 2010 "Celtic Sounds of the Appalachian
Mountains".
Our music is often described as sounding very
haunting. We play songs that fit the instruments
and lets them ring with resonating sustained
harmony.
